  3. Assess the litigation support capabilities of a respected law firm with respect to technology and skills
  4. Assess compliance with federal and provincial privacy laws to support a successful multi-million dollar RFP bid

E-DISCOVERY AND LITIGATION SUPPORT CONSULTING 

  1. Work with a litigation team to develop and negotiate a favourable electronic discovery plan under the Ontario Rules
  2. Act as Electronic Discovery Counsel to a large law firm, providing internal best practices and education while assisting firm on billable discovery projects
  3. Advise public inquiries, regulatory bodies, and trial co-ordinators on best practices for document management using technology
  4. Work with judicial committees in superior courts to draft rules, guidelines and practice directions respecting electronic discovery and the exchange of evidence in electronic form 
  5. Act as expert witness in litigation dispute about electronic discovery format of production
  6. Mediate electronic discovery disputes between parties as a referee in litigation and international arbitration

PRIVACY AND INFORMATION SECURITY

  1. Act as Chief Privacy and Information Security Officer for a corporation whose clients require compliance with PIPEDA, provincial privacy legislation, and ISO 27000 and related international InfoSec standards  
  2. Help courts develop information security policies for the protection of judicial information
  3. Develop education programs for judges to ensure an understanding of best practices for the security of judicial information
