Puerto Vallarta
SHARE THE PASSION
In late 2018 my wife and I purchased a condo in Puerto Vallarta, on the Pacific coast of Mexico. It is divided into two separate apartments - the main suite and a guest suite. In winter we occupy the main suite and rent out the guest suite. Off season, the entire suite is available. Please enjoy learning more about the opportunity for a great vacation!

Rent the entire suite
On the 8th floor of a riverfront condominium built in 2009, our unit is 188.6 square meters (over 2,000 SF) and runs from the front of the building facing east to the back, with sweeping Pacific ocean sunset views.
Rent the guest suite
The unique layout of #802 provides secure and private accommodation for 1 or 2 guests. Entrance is via elevator that opens into a foyer shared only with the main suite residents. A locked door opens into a living room, spacious bedroom and ensuite bathroom with shower. Two balconies overlook the city and mountains for beautiful sunrise views.

The City of Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is Mexico's second most popular tourist destination with over 5 million visitors a year. It is located on the Bay of Banderas, at the same latitude as Honolulu. The people are welcoming, the weather is pleasant, and the culture is captivating.

The location
Rivera Cuale sits on the border of several authentic Mexican neighbourhoods, boasting short walks to restaurants, bars, famers markets, convenience stores, the famous Malecón (boardwalk), and of course local beaches. A short bus ride, taxi or Uber gets you to a multitude of beaches, modern big box superstores, shopping centres, marinas, and much more. Rivera Cuale is not a resort hotel or a Buddhist retreat - we are surrounded by neighbours with roosters, dogs, and pickup trucks.
Rivera Cuale
The building was constructed in 2009 and is very solid concrete construction. We have a large cistern with clean drinking water. The building entrance is guarded by a team of security personnel 24/7, and video cameras keep tabs on activity around the property. The lobby has seating areas and a small library. There are no hallways in the building - there are two elevators, and only two units on each floor. Access to any floor is limited to keyholders.

Hurricane Nora
In August 2021 Hurricane Nora swept through Puerto Vallarta. The city did not suffer direct wind damage - but the Cuale River overflowed and swept away a municipal bridge, parts of some buildings downtown, and unfortunately - the common areas and pool of Rivera Cuale.
Oasis construction
Our property sits on prime riverfront land. The developer of Rivera Cuale is now constructing a new tower next door which is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2023. This means that for the next couple of years, we can anticipate construction noise and traffic, usually from 8am to 7pm, Monday through Saturday.
